Sound: Inouk Demers
Sound holds equal weight as image in Natural History. Moving from constructed urban environments to composed “natural” spaces, to dioramas of both, the result is an unsettling representation of the city. With video footage shot in Berlin, Natural History also comprises field recordings, found sounds and electronics, recorded and constructed in Los Angeles by Inouk Demers, creating subtle links between the two cities.
